Machida vs Bader

This is Machida's first after a courageous, but disappointing loss to the young Jon Jones.  Despite a superb game plan and a good first round, Jones landed a punch and took Machida down and cut him with the notorious Jones elbow.  That was the beginning of the end for Machida on that fight, losing by submission to the new champ.

However, against a guy like Bader, I expect Machida to show his evasiveness and counter attacks.  Machida's sumo background and his brilliant footwork will nullify the takedowns of Bader and the powerful right hand.  I am expecting a unanimous decision win or a TKO for Machida on this fight.

Dan Henderson talks about his fight with Jon Jones

Maybe Dan will be the only one to close the gap and land some haymakers on the unstoppable young champion, Jonny 'Bones' Jones.  Dan has definitely looked good in the last few fights, especially, knocking out Babalu, Rafael Feijao, and Fedor is no joke.  He has been able to land his legendary right hand in all those wins.  He landed a good right hand in his fight with Shogun Rua, which would have knocked out any mortal.  However, somehow, Shogun survived the H-bomb and came back and fought Dan till the end.  Lets see if Dan can do better than Machida and Rashad Evans..

Can Chris Weidman do what Chael Sonnen could not?

Silva haters got excited about a possibility of a stronger wrestler like Sonnen dethroning the dominant champ.    Unfortunately, two fights and much hype later at UFC 148, Sonnen broke and Silva still reigns as the middleweight champion.

After an impressive victory over a top ten contender, Mark Munoz, is Chris Weidman the man who might possibly give Silva the first defeat inside the Octagon?  His performance against Demian Maia was not that great, but against Munoz it was much more impressive.  Maybe he should fight Bisping or winner of Lombard and Boetsch first.  Let's see what the matchmaker, Joe Silva does.

Below is the highlight of the fight between Munoz and Weidman:

Redemption for the Greatest Fighter of our Generation

If you are a MMA fan, you probably watched this fight and jumped up and down during the fight.  I read that there was a Brazilian fan in attendance, who jumped up and down around 300 times when Silva walked in.  It was a great night, showcasing the undeniable takedown of Chael Sonnen and the amazing adjustments the Champion, Silva made to win the second fight in spectacular fashion!   I was watching at home alone with all my kids already in bed on my computer. When the flying knee landed on Sonnen's chest and he assumed the almost fetal position, I jumped like the Brazilian fan!  Fortunately,  none of the kids woke up.  If you did not watch this fight, you surely missed an opportunity to witness greatness in action!  Please watch the replay!
