Breaking News: Silva vs Sonnen Moving to Las Vegas to UFC 148

Silva vs Sonnen will be moving to July 7th in Las Vegas due to technical problems with the timing of UFC 147, which was planned to happen in Brazil.  United Nations gathering on the same weekend caused logistics problems for the event, mainly availability of hotel rooms and city officials feeling pressured about having the UFC event same weekend as the United Nations event.  Can’t wait!

Pros pick Jones vs Evans

I am hoping for the upset by Evans; hopefully Evans can close the gap, land something and eventually take the young champ and put him on his back.  This will probably take some of that confidence from the champ, allowing Evans to have better chances.  I am sure I am in the minority as Jones has been so dominant over amazing fighters like Rampage, Shogun and Machida.  Rashad does have that killer overhand right that put Chuck Liddell to sleep, when people thought he was unbeatable.  Everyone underestimated Evans, including me.  I didn't even know who he was!

Mark Hunt for the Replacement of Alistair Overeem for UFC 146

After Alistair Overeem failed his random drug test by the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission), Dana White has publicly announced that he is pissed off, as he did not have a plan B.  Frank Mir campaigned for himself to be the replacement candiate for the title fight hours after the announcement.  However, many fans, including Maila would like to see the humble K-1 veteran, Mark Hunt to be the replacement.  Despite him not being in the top ten and all, he is more likely to produce an exciting fight.  Let the UFC and Dana know that this is what the fans want, as they have been known to listen to the voice of the fans!

Rising Prospect of the Day: Dorjderem Munkhbayasgalan

Undefeated Mongolian fighter now fights for Legend Fighting Champioship along with his countryman, Jadamba.  His last fight, unfortunately, was stopped due to unintentional blows to the head.  Dorjderem has a solid background in Judo, wrestling and sambo.  I would love for him to keep winning and fight for Strikeforce or Bellator next!
